WHEN IT WAS COMPLETED IN 1902, THE NEW YORK HERALD PROCLAIMED THAT WHITEHALL,
Henry Flagler's Gilded Age estate in Palm Beach, was "more wonderful than any palace in Europe, grander and more magnificent than any other private dwelling in the world." Today, Whitehall is a National Historic Landmark and is open to the public as the Flagler Museum, offering self-guided tours, changing exhibitions, and special programs.
The mission of the Henry Morrison Flagler Museum is to preserve and interpret Whitehall, Henry Flagler's legacy, and America's Gilded Age, in ways that inspire every generation.

Make Ancient Art with Plaster Moldings
OCTOBER 24, 2026
Step into the world of ancient art and craftsmanship in this hands-on workshop led by Hyde-Park Moldings. Learn about plaster, its role in preserving historical artwork and traditional molding techniques, then explore classical architecture through drawing and create, demold, and take home your own plaster cast. This class is included with the price of Admission or Museum Membership.

2026 Fall Exhibition

America Takes the Stage: From the White City to Whitehall explores how the ephemeral magic of Chicago's Fair inspired Flagler's enduring vision for Florida, and how Whitehall stands today as the only permanent monument to that transformative moment in American cultural history. Geoffrey Baer explores the 1893 World’s Columbian Exposition in Chicago, examining its architecture, influence on urban design, and lasting impact on American culture. The program connects the Fair’s legacy to the City Beautiful movement, Whitehall, and Palm Beach, highlighting innovations like the Ferris Wheel and products that helped shape modern life.
2027 Spring Exhibition

Gilded Age Jewelry: The Making of Modern Luxury explores how the transatlantic exchange between America’s Gilded Age families and Paris’s great jewelry houses transformed extraordinary wealth and craftsmanship into a new language of modern luxury, while celebrating Whitehall’s historic connection to the era. Christmas Tree Lightning Festivities
SUNDAY, DECEMBER 6, 2026
3:00 PM – 5:00 PM
Members at the Family/Dual level and above are invited to Whitehall to celebrate the arrival of the holiday season with an afternoon of festive traditions. Join us as Henry Flagler’s youngest descendants light the magnificent 16-foot Grand Hall Christmas Tree. Seasonal instrumental music will fill the House, along with a special choir performance and a presentation by the Paris Ballet Company featuring a selection from The Nutcracker. Members will also enjoy holiday refreshments and a special visit from Santa and Mrs. Claus, making this a memorable celebration for Members of all ages.

Experience the holiday evening magic of Whitehall and discover Christmas traditions of the Gilded Age during a special docent-led tour of the Museum’s first floor. Enjoy yuletide carolers, winter refreshments, and festive music throughout the evening, with carolers on the Front Portico, a pianist in the Drawing Room, organ music in the Music Room, and live performances in the Ballroom. This year, each historic room will feature floral artistry inspired by HBO’s The Gilded Age. Following the tour, guests can gather on the Front Portico for refreshments and holiday merriment.
Fleurs de Villes

Fleurs de Villes: THE GILDED AGE will be on view throughout the Museum from December 18 – 27 and will feature 15 mannequins adorned with thousands of fresh flowers, each inspired by the acclaimed HBO series The Gilded Age. Through extraordinary floral artistry, iconic characters, costumes, and themes are brought to life in stunning installations, creating an immersive experience that celebrates the elegance, ambition, and grandeur of one of history's most captivating eras
